TheSTBmodule provide a connection point between an exchange-side cablepairand a distribution pair. It incorporates a 5-point plug in moduletoprovide continuity and a range of other options. Removal of theplug-inmodule does not disturb wire connections but makes contacts tothemavailable for testing of both sides of the network.

It is especially recommended for:
1. Outdoor connections where the enviromental conditions are extremely agressive.
2.Terminationswhere user development characteristics require futureflexibility interms of the type of protection or filteringcapabilities.

Insulation displacement (IDC) Type Connections

No wire stripping required.

No special tools required for installation.

Will accept 0.4 - 1.0mm (26-18 gauge) conductors.

Totally encapsulated wire connection points provide complete protection fromall environmental conditions.

Visually inspect the integrity of all wire connections.

Reusable - wires may be removed and reinsertedwithout affecting IDC contacts or integrity of seal.

Will permit up to 100 wire terminations on both line and subscriber side connections.
